Amazon Account Suspension & Reinstatement Service

A suspended or deactivated Amazon seller account stops sales immediately. We review what happened, prepare the documentation Amazon asks for and draft a clear, specific appeal, so your case is presented properly the first time.

Getting a notice that your Amazon seller account has been suspended or deactivated is stressful. Listings stop selling, funds may be held, and the instructions in the notice can feel vague. The way back is a calm, methodical process: understand exactly what Amazon flagged, gather the right evidence, and respond with an appeal that answers the specific concern.

KM Automations and Services helps sellers with Amazon account suspension and reinstatement. We review the issue, prepare the documentation and draft the appeal with you. This page explains why suspensions happen, how we approach each case, and what to expect.

Why Amazon suspends seller accounts

Amazon restricts accounts to protect buyers and the marketplace. Most cases fall into a few groups:

Each group needs a different response. An appeal written for a late-shipment problem will not work for an authenticity complaint, which is why the first step is always to pin down the real reason.

What we review first (Account Health, notices, performance)

Before anything is written, we look at the facts:

This review tells us what Amazon is really asking for, and whether there are gaps (a missing invoice, an unclear supply chain) to close before an appeal goes in.

How we build your plan of action

A strong plan of action is specific, honest and easy for an Amazon reviewer to follow. We draft it around three parts:

  1. Root cause. What actually caused the problem, stated plainly and tied to the notice, not generic statements.
  2. Corrective actions. What has already been done to fix the affected orders, listings or inventory.
  3. Preventive measures. The process changes that stop the issue from happening again, such as new checks, supplier changes or a listing review routine.

Supporting documents are prepared so they match what the appeal says. We review the draft with you before anything is submitted, because you know your business best and the appeal is submitted from your account.

Want to see how a plan of action is structured before you talk to us? Our guide on how to write an Amazon suspension appeal letter walks through each part and includes a fill-in-the-blank template.

The appeal process, step by step

  1. Book a call and share the notice and your account background.
  2. Issue review. We review the notice, the Account Health dashboard and your documents.
  3. Documentation. We help you gather and organize what Amazon is likely to ask for.
  4. Appeal draft. We draft the plan of action and review it with you.
  5. Submission. The appeal goes in through Account Health, in the place the notice points to.
  6. Follow-up. If Amazon asks for more information or rejects the appeal, we review the response and revise.

Amazon makes the final decision on every appeal. We can't guarantee an outcome or a timeline, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. What we focus on is a complete, accurate and well-supported case.

Intellectual property complaints are usually resolved by the rights owner retracting the complaint, by showing the complaint was invalid, or by removing the listing and explaining how you will prevent repeats. Verification holds need documents that match your account information exactly, which is where our seller account approval and verification work overlaps. Related-account cases require a clear explanation of the relationship between accounts. Restrictions on specific categories are a separate issue covered on our category ungating page.

Suspension fixes are not limited to Amazon. We also help with suspended or restricted accounts on TikTok Shop, Shopify and Walmart, using the same approach of reviewing the issue, preparing documentation and drafting appeals.

After reinstatement: keeping the account healthy

Getting reinstated is only half the job. The preventive measures in your plan of action need to actually happen, and Amazon may look at whether they did if problems come back. Build them into a routine: check Account Health on a schedule, read every performance notification, keep supplier invoices organized, and review your top listings for changes.

Our ecommerce store management guide includes a daily, weekly and monthly routine you can use, and our automation guide explains how to monitor account health consistently. If you'd rather hand the day-to-day work to a team, see our ecommerce store management services.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a suspension and a deactivation?

Sellers use the words loosely, but Amazon's notices are specific. A deactivation or suspension removes your selling privileges until Amazon reviews an appeal or the documents it requested. Some notices are about a single listing or ASIN rather than the whole account. Always read the exact notice in Account Health, because it tells you what Amazon wants and where to respond.

What is a plan of action (POA)?

A plan of action is the written appeal Amazon asks for when an account or listing is restricted for performance or policy reasons. It explains the root cause of the problem, the corrective actions you have already taken, and the preventive measures that stop it happening again.

How long does an Amazon appeal take?

Amazon controls the review timeline, and it varies by case type and by whether more information is requested. Nobody outside Amazon can promise a date. What you can control is submitting a complete, accurate appeal with the right documents, which avoids unnecessary back-and-forth.

Can I appeal if my first appeal was rejected?

Often, yes. A rejection usually means Amazon did not find the root cause, the actions or the documents convincing. Read the response carefully, identify what was missing, and resubmit a revised appeal through the same Account Health path rather than sending the same text again.

What documents do I need?

It depends on the notice. Common requests include supplier invoices, letters of authorization, business and identity documents, safety or compliance documents for the product, and evidence of the corrective actions you took. The notice itself is the best guide to what Amazon expects.
